My System: echostar ad3600 infinity usb programer trex 4.6 dragon loader card
Lightbulb infinity usb programmer

hi, i sort of newbie to this i hope you can help me with this.

i have the infinity usb programmer hooked up via the supplied usb cable and also connected the serial cable, but the thing is when i take the serial cable out it still works, do i need to connect the serial and if i dont will it affect anything?

p.s im not sure if it is a null cable

Hi maloosy,
it sounds like you have the Infinty/Phoenix USB programmer, which will work with just the USB cable for programming Fun cards and Dragon Loader Cards, but the serial cable is required to program in Phoenix mode for cards like the K3, Titanium and other cards.
