I had a problem yesterday, I could not connect to the internet. I discovered that KB951748, a Microsoft update I downloaded on Tuesday was the cause. Apparently if you use Zone Alarm as a Firewall, as I do, there is a conflict. I removed it via add/remove programmes in control panel, and all was back to normal. You can also get around the problem by lowering internet zone security from high to medium in the Zone Alarm settings although it is not recommended. No doubt Zone Alarm will bring out an update to solve this at some point. By the way, I have also found out that this only affects 2000 and XP users, Vista is OK for some reason. | ||

My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs  Saved us from the black plague of ignoratio elenchi, he awaits a special badge with jugs |
