Microsoft Antivirus "Morro"

Microsoft announced a free new anti virus software called "Morro" or
Microsoft Security Essentials. Will be available at this stage only in Israel, Brazil and USA. By the end of the year, more countries will be added to the list.

I suppose that while downloading the software, the server would check the IP of the browser and wouldn't enable the download and the setup, so there is no point in asking me to supply the software. But you are welcome to come as a tourist and while you are here, install it on your laptop.
No guarantee that when you are back home, the software would work or do any updates for the same reason.
Will keep you posted if I decide to install it on my PC.

Like Ms anti-phishing add-ons, it might work to'Morro'.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

My System: DM 600-S, AB IPBox 9000HD, Moteck SG2100, Fracarro Penta 85 dish, + some puters

I read that this was in the pipeline a while ago.

Its a bit of an embarrassment for them really. If they got their OS's working properly in the 1st place, there'd be no need for AV software.

Other AV software companies wont be happy with this, so another visit to the EU courts will probably ensue.

They should really fix these problems at the OS level and spare all of us the hassle of using 3rd party software, and themselves the hassle of court cases and bad publicity.
