I thought I'd post here as well so that any Linux bods who only read here could help me. I have a problem with a hard disk in a Huma Fosat HDR and I want to put it onto my eternal hard drive adaptor and then try to read (and hopefully fix!) it with my laptop. What software would I need on the laptop to read the disk? The full story is here Foxsat HDR siezing problem

I've just come back from a weekend away (been down near to your area Llew!) and I've got some things to do so it'll probably be tomorrow evening before I have a chance.

| Just by chance I was given a faulty PC from work last week, and it has a Linux o/s on both drives. On boot up it says 'Community 10.1' and then freezes. Is this a modern system or one that should be upgraded, if so, what to ? | ||

| Thanks, the last person that had the lid off upgraded the processor on the motherboard, which may be behind the start up issue. | ||
