Only the DM5600 does not have the Ethernet RJ45 port. Is that what you have, or do you mean that you don't have an Ethernet network?

If you have a DM500, DM5620 or DM7000 then you can connect your Dreambox to an Fast Ethernet card (10/100) in your PC using a CAT5e CROSSOVER cable (NOT a standard patch lead). If you dont have the latter card, you should get one. They only cost around £5GBP for the PCI version. A bit more for a PCMCIA version if you have a lappie.

STICK

Many thanks for your reply. I have DM5620 with both eth port and serial connectors. I also have the ethernet direct conect cable ( cross over). I was wondering whether how to communicate with the DM in order to transfer some files fom OC or vica versa. I have followed the steps in the standard DM manual but I have failed to communicate successfuly.

Regards & Thanks
