Nero Copy Problem!

First time ever that I have had a problem with my Nero CD burner. I am trying to copy a disc which has some pretty good copyright protection.......even Nero can't hack it!

Anyone here got any suggestions to over ride them?

Tried CloneCD, didn't work Mickha........I can't say which CD this I am trying to copy but it does contain charts, I must say the copyright protection is bloody good and has beaten everything I have tried so far!

Try this site for lots of info on copy protection
you could try detecting what it is with clonyxxl, some protections require emulation of the disc on the hard drive. You should find all you are looking for on this site http://www.gamecopyworld.com (even if its not a game is is still relevant to copy protection and has utilities etc for detecting the protection etc) also try here: http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd.shtml

try this

If Nero won't let you copy it disc to disc try copying the cd as an image by going to recorder \ choose recorder and pick image device or whatever it says.

Then mount it to your hdd using daemon-tools (it's free)
Copy all the stuff from the mounted cd image to a folder on your hdd and burn the contents of that folder.

If that doesn't work then I 'm stumped

If it is an audio CD you could rip it to CD quality .wav or .mp3 files with Easy CD-DA Extractor (by poikosoft) then burn them back to audio CD

Not the most elegant way of doing it, but if it works...

Can any one remember, when the manufacturers of audio CD's put a copyright protection on, and apparently if you put a marker pen over the beginning you could nullify it, was this for real or just a rumour ?????

DVD Shrink is excellent and is freeware. I recommend it, no macro can beat it.

Saturlight, I thought you were supposed be fixing your dud PC, LOL.

You are going to scare the living shit out of people replying to an 18month old post: like when they get their email reminder

Incidentally, for the latest SONY/MGM stuff, I have AnyDVD working in the tray and run DVD Decrypter as norm.

So, Saturlight - back to the topic in hand (your PC) - now, be off with you ... hehe.

.

Have Fun, Moo.

Nah, I was looking through old posts, Bar. Btw, err...I will get round to fixing the dud hard-drive, it ain't all the pc, coz that's next door, in bits.

I need to think hard before embarking on your recent advice...ta anyway, and I'll keep ya informed...Cheers.
