Hard Drive Clean up!

I am running Windows XP, my PC has a 40 gig HD......As of late I have noticed space now taken of around 9 gigs when I know that my programs should only be using around 4!

Anyone here advise me whats chewing at my HD....and further more how to get back my space!

When you say around 4 are you including the OS as XP is about 4ish gigs.

Or has all this appeared recently ?

Id suspect its down to the various logging activities of the operating system and maybe the anti virus software, ready to present an image of the drive should anything go wrong.

Either that or you are looking at a very large cache of internet files and cookies, both of which can be removed.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
