Pentamedia card not initializing

I havent used my sat dish for a while but i lately went to use it and it is comming up with a "video will not initialize error". Ok so it will not kick in. There appears to be a conflict with the bios and i am not going to flash it to try and fix the problem as i do not see that solving the problem. the device is unde network adaptors in CONTROL PANEL\SYSTEM\DEVICE MANAGER and it says the device is working properly. I have a question mark over the PRIMARY IDE CONTROLLER (duel fifo) in same section of device manager. Some problem there related? I have changed the sia slots inside my machine changing around the various cards which are:

pentamedia card in slot
capture card
sound card
cam card (connected to sat card via serial cables)
network card for broadband

but still no luck

please help

i had this prbblem before but it seemed to rectify itself

i have tried other hard drives with same results.
is my motherboard trying to tell me something?

AND I CANNOT GET ANY SOUND ON MY CAPTURE CARD

Apart from that everything is fine
