: Microsoft has begun the systematic shutdown of its online chat rooms and has begun promoting the Instant Messenger service as an alternative. It plans to license IM, which allows for more confined online conversations, to business customers and integrate it more closely with its loss-making MSN Web service. | ||

Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | Never been a chatroom fan myself, mostly drivel spoken, they have their limited uses, but from Microsoft's point of view, do more potential harm than good. If kids really want to chat there is always irc, takes a little more to get into it but if they want chat it's there.
