CAMs for the Brazil area

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Lots of great information here! Thumbs up!

I does anyone know where I can buy CAM for Telefonica Brazil (Nagra 2 I believe) or for Sky Tv Brazil (NDS Videoguard)?

And do you know if there are any other satellite operators in Brazil?

Your profile puts you in Europe.... You cant watch TV beamed to Brazil in Europe.

However assuming you are moving to Brazil, Telefonica is indeed Nagra 2.

Any Nagra 2 cam should be ok, although you would need a subscription card for it.

The same applies to the NDS Sky Brazil, I have no idea if theres an official cam available for this one - you would need local knowledge on that one..

Hi,

Toppers, thanks.

Analoguesat, yes I know you can not watch beamed satellite from Brazil in Europe. I'm going to Brazil for some time.

I will subscribe to either Sky or Telefonica, depending on which cam I will be able to buy. Do you know any webshops selling the Nagra 2 cam?

Yes, I guess so, but there is one huge problem: language. Not too many people with knowledge about these things speak English. And I would prefer to buy some nagra2 cams on the web before I go there. Can you help me?

Well

AS is correct it probably would be better as Nag2 is not a commonly used encryption in Europe, mainly across the pond, I would have a look at the site sponsors
http://www.satellites.co.uk/index.php?page=sponsors

a very quick look it seems Pulsat may do one but does not say if it is Nag2 or not you may need to speak to them

Thanks Topper.

I will check the sponsor list and also contact Pulsat regarding Nagra2.

Btw, which cams are you using for Sky in UK? Is Sky using NDS there too?

A dedicated Sky digibox

Yes they are NDS cams built in to the digibox. There are for example the Dragon Cams that when loaded with the correct firmware can emulate an NDS cam and decrypt a valid Sky subscription card, but does not necessarily process the card keep alive signal. This does allow people to use other receivers for Sky subscription services but does not give you more than a digibox

My System: PC with technotrend TT-1500CI PCI card

Did anyone find a way to use Telefonica Brazil on a PC, with a valid subscription? I would be very interested to know.

The only way to watch in pc with a subscribed card ( the term VALID,as in LEGAL is meaningless ,I guess) is to know some specific keys inside the ird married to the card.
This is not an easy task, unless you have experience.

In Brazil have SKY (in NDS), Telefonica (in Nagra2) and NossaTV (in Betacrypt).
