My System: Dreambox 7020si, Technomate TM600, Technomate TM9100 Fracarro Penta 85 Dish, Televes 0.6dB Quad lnb, TM SG2200 motor. 60cm Channel Master BSB dish on 28e, Mti Blueline 0.2db Twin Lnb. Rover ST-4 Meter Cyfra+ Subscription

The only thing open on 1w is the Nagra2 encrypted Digi TV package, although this is Broadcast off Intelsat 10-02 not Thor

Intelsat 10-02 is more or less at the same Orbital position as Thor

Bit of a hijack of this thread, but please forgive me, as it might be of interest to others.

Anyone know how much the sub for Digi is and is it easy enough to get a card for it? On my opinion it is the best package for footy and I would like to have it as I am sure there will some HD channels added when it goes fully to N3.

Thanks for any help I will receive.

Regards Wez

Blimey Wez i thought you'd disappeared of edge of the planet

I haven't seen it for sale anywhere mate as i have looked. It looks very much like one of those £250-300 a year cards but as of yet i haven't found a seller in the UK

Thanks Nano, I have been around, just not so much, the fishing has started in earnest. There must be some way to get it, but I reckon that if there was a way you would have for it by now, we can live in hope I suppose. At the money you quoted I would not mind getting it at that, but as you say the difficulty is in finding a supplier, I must have a serious look also, never know, between the both of us we might just about find out something. Thanks again mate.

Best regards Wez

I've been looking for a supplier for a while for when they go N3, but I have lucked out as well. I think that there won't be much demand for it until they go N3, as anyone who knows about it in the uk knows you don't need to pay for it. Once they change to N3 we might see some UK suppliers maybe.

I've booted up, I've patched in, I'm online, offline, downloaded and extremely cheesed off!

Hi lads, with the knowledge that we are, or I am, going to bring the wrath of a mod down on us/me will risk stating the following; I googled Digi TV and found, on another forum, that the card change will not be taking place any time soon, because they are very heavily on dept and can't really afford to do it at the moment, the post was dated some time in the middle of last month, June. I did send the link to Nano so he will know what I am saying is true, as far as the post is concerned. I suppose it is a mix of good and bad news, the good being that we should be able to watch the start of the footy this season, but the bad is that Murdock might well fancy his chanced of buying them out, and we all know what that would mean.

I also found a post that said that each country has it's own subs and you need a card and receiver from that country, so to get all the channels it would just not be practical nor economically viable. I am sure there is more to the story. but we shall have to wait and see what transpires in the next few months.

Regards Wez

And he gets the backing of governments to do it too, after all the German one sanctioned his buying out of premier, money talks very loud. They are a family of megalomaniacs.

I have heard that Digi are in financial trouble as well, though my source comes from the business world not the satellite world. The way I see it they won't have much choice to either upgrade their encryption or go bust/sell out as its estimated that they could more than double their subsctiptions from thier target market. Let's face it how many of us would buy a s*y sub if we could just put a code in via remote and watch for free.
