Whitesnake new album

Whitesnake - Good to be bad (2008)

track listing
  1. Best Years
  2. Can You Hear The Wind Blow
  3. Call On Me
  4. All I Want All I Need
  5. Good To Be Bad
  6. All For Love
  7. Summer Rain
  8. Lay Down Your Love
  9. A Fool In Love
  10. Got What You Need
  11. `Til The End Of Time
Just like the good old days

Whitesnake started off in 78 as a rock band with a blues feel, that was until the self titled 1987 album, where they turned into a Metal outfit

although "whitesnake 1987" was the most succesful album it upset many
fans because they prefered the old blues style
Song that became singles from this album was.....
Here i go again
Is this love
Give me all your love

giving them a wider audience

The reason i talk about this album, out of the many albums Whitesnake have done in there 30 year reign, is because this new one reminds me of it.

Which means it will grow and grow on me.

9/10

So it's not quite like the good old blues days then.

I saw them back in 1992 (I think), at Wembley arena. Not quite my cup of tea.

My System: Sky HD, TM6800HD, Manhattan Plaza ST550 and TM1500 CI+. 1.0m dish and 36v motor, Panasonic DVD HDD recorder and Panasonic video/DVD recorder. Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2.

Always been a fan. Coverdale of course is the constant but the band has certainly had a large turnover of members.

i have followed them since the beggining, there old stuff is brilliant.

i think Cloverdale saw the success of the crossover/commercial rock bands of the mid eighties and saw potential for money, which is why many of my friends at the time watched at Donnington and said afterwards he (Coverdale) had sold his soul.

i have all there album as mp3s on my C: drive and still listen quite a bit.

Just as a foot note...
Iron Maidens latest album (A Matter Of Life And Death) released late 2006
was back to roots stuff...i thought it was some of there best work.

Maiden have a new album called "Root of all evil" due out anytime soon
looking forward to that too
