Yeh, great in the early 1980s, but err a bit old fashioned today. The BBC is showing a tournament now, with Steve Davis looking around 70. Are there any viewers out there? Stand up and be counted. All three of you!

Most certainly not David Tennet. It's not as if he is bad, but the scrripts look like they're written by a lunatic ape! And that reflects badly on him. Anyway, he won as the best Dr, with Tom Baker coming second. Sly McCoy was 5th.

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!) | Watching it fleatingly, snooker has no characters any more, it's too professional. The sad death of Paul Hunter and the demise of Quiten Hann have done nothing to help, but I feel that people really miss Alex Higgins still. I say bring back pints and tag the players so they can only practice 2 hours a day - that should liven things up a bit.

I reckon it's had its day but my mum still watches it. However it doesn't have the interest for me as when Higgins and Reardon were playing.

Going Bald with a patient wife! | I think sports like snooker and darts and maybe even cricket have very much taken a back seat to the great sport religion of footbal. Why - because there is more money in football than other sports sadly so which do you think the broadcasters advertise more? Also - people seem to want football football football - think do we have the same amount of hysteria over the Snooker finals than we had to experience for footy - with flags on cars, flags in windows, painted faces, etc - don't exactly see people going as mad with darts, etc, do we? Personally I think we should get more curling on the TV as we had in the olympics..... now that was actually quite entertaining for some reason I cannot explain! Also - will we ever see the return of real wrestling and not WWF stuff? Leigh....

My System: 2xPace 430N, 1xNokia MM9800, 1xNokia 80cm Sat Dish, 1xGibertini 120cm, Big Fat Furry Puss | Its funny, I read about the walk-off. Nothing like a bit of dynamic to an otherwise ploddy couch potato sport (which I used to enjoy before the BBC went into 2D). What was funnier was reading that Maplin was the sponsor ?? I am still trying to work out a connection. Mind, if Maplin is anything like Conrad here in Berlin (that never has stock of what you need) - I can quite understand O'sullivan's frustration. Open to corrections on all points ;-)) .

We were left with the one who knows what he's doing - and he managed quite well. Really enjoyed the beginning and middle bit: can't remember much of the end (American Beer vs Quantity there of). ,-))

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!) | This is the other thing with snooker - Ronnie's constant state of depression. I mean, come on, it was old even when it started and now I'm just bored of it. Much better in Higgins' day, he just head-butted refs when he got too much - legendary!
