Was Ken Russell on something stronger than coffee last night?

And I don't mean drink!

The guy had to be taken aside and told to shut up by an embarrassed Davina McCall.

I am not sure what staggering Ken was shouting, but my mother reckons it was something to do with gender-bender Pete Burns' toilet habits!

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!)

Whatever he said, the guys off his rocker to think anyone is going to find him even moderately interesting. The guys washed up, the reason people 'liked' John McCirick (sp) is because they've seen him on the box doing racing for C4.

Salty, the guy is 79 and has done more in his life than most of us could dream of.

Do a google on his films and accreditations, he's done more of value than pretty much the rest of the house put together. Yes, he may have seen better days and I don't think that he will win it, but don't discount him as a person, he was brilliant in his time and deserves some respect for his past work.

I wasn't knocking the guy, and I realise the guy has done a lot. Indeed he's still making films today. I just thought his eccentric behaviour was funny.

I thought I'd like that Jo, but when she took an instant distlike the Ken because of his appearance without even knowing the slightest thing about him, put me off HER.

I'll be terrible blunt here rolfw - the normal audience of BB, and perhaps to a certain extent the general public at large, don't either know or remember him or his films. In effect, they don't really care.

However, this is more or less the same for everyone in the house, they all start with a clean slate because this is a test of their personality and game strategy (or lack thereof) - something which we don't get to see in their professional careers mostly.

I would disagree with you on the general audience not knowing who he is salty, perhaps many of the ones below 20 might not, but I would bet that most above that age would.

I personally find the whole show a little tedious and probably only dip into it once a week if something outrageous has happened. I did think though that Leo Sayer was starting to get a bit boring.

He's been like that for the last 15 - 20 years Rolf!

Well

I too have to disagree with you there Salty25 but after all you are young and the vast majority of Ken Russels work was released before you were conceived.

What I do not understand is why would Ken want to subject himself to this sort of torture or indeed subject the other housemates to his incessant snoring, why would he want media exposure at his time of life, I personally think his manager should have advised him against it.

I heard on the radio tonight whilst driving back from work that he has left after a big argument with Jade and her mum. IMHO he should never have entered in the first place

Yes, saw part of that this afternoon, he refused to take it seriously (don't blame him) and Jade believes it is all life and death.

I must confess that the idea of half a dozen twenty something luvvy TV production execs making me jump though hoops for the "entertainment" of the public, throwing up false barriers and problems, would not appeal to me. Can't think why Ken thought he could stand it either, perhaps he's just skint.:
