Digital Audio Broadcasting DAB support forum, have you tried it? What do you think, is it better than FM or just more channels?

Cool Can anyone help me please???

I've just bought a 'Emprex IR1 Internet Radio' and although I'm not technically minded either I've managed to connect it to my router with an Ethernet Cable.

My question is: is it possible to buy something that will enable me to listen to the Internet Radio whilst being on the PC also???

I Simply took out the Ethernet cable from the PC and just connected another Ethernet cable from the router directly into the back of the Internet radio! (I do hope this makes sense to someone)!

Any help and advice would be very much appreciated!!!!

Cheers..................

Nicolas

Much internet radio can be played straight through media player, real player or similar.

Hey Rolf!

The router has 2 yellow boxes on the side one is where my ethernet cable goes to the PC and the other's got nothing in it!!

So does this mean that I can use the ethernet cable from the Internet radio and plug that in at the same time???

If its an ethernet port (should look like the one your computer is plugged into) then yes you can.

Cool Kool!

Hey Rolf!

That's BRILLIANT!!!!

So I can do this and it wont affect the PC when I'm on line then???

I used to be a serious 'DXer' when I was a lot younger - I erected a mast and home made aerial in my parents back garden much to the neighbours annoyance!! LOL!!

Had an old 1940's valve radio and it worked a real treat - got stacks of QSL cards and letters etc from all over the world!!

It used to be a real thrill to see how far I could actually get signals from - farthest was OZ then Argentina and Radio RSA de stem van Zuid Afrika!

Now it's all changed and that's why I got the internet radio!
