sky digital viewers will be able to choose their lucky numbers from the comfort of their own homes from today after National Lottery operator Camelot signed a deal to sell tickets via digital television. The service is part of Camelot's £45m new media strategy aimed at boosting lottery sales and comes three months after it launched its main Lotto draw on the internet. Players will be able to buy tickets on Sky Active up to eight weeks in advance for the Wednesday and Saturday Lotto draws. "Our research shows the service on Sky Active will appeal to those lottery players who don't make the time to buy their ticket regularly at their local shop or supermarket and want the convenience of buying their through interactive TV," said Richard Hurd-Wood, the Camelot interactive director. | ||
