European TV integrates MAVISE database

The European Commission and Strasbourg-based European Audiovisual Observatory will officially launch their brand new TV database at the upcoming Mip TV in Cannes in April.

Called MAVISE, the database already holds key profile and contact data for around 2,500 television channels and companies in Europe. The compilation will increase to over 5,000 in time.

Presented as a useful tool for the television industry, MAVISE will offer access to parts of its database free to the general public. Television professionals will be able to use it free of charge to locate channels, according to types of programming or countries where they broadcast, and to obtain key contact information for each channel.
