This Thursday evening (at 4.30pm EST, Mar 20) Worldspace will report on its Q4 2007 numbers. New York’s stock market is closed the next day (for the Good Friday holiday) thereby ensuring no adverse analyst comment for a few days. Of course, it could always be that Worldspace surprises the market with blisteringly good subscriber numbers out of India, and talks of its financial progress, cash-raising success and other upbeat revelations. But don’t hold your breath. Some elements of the quarter year we can already tell you about. For example, Worldspace has recently selected NetMagic to “host” the broadcaster’s customer billing task. And an ex-Worldspace staffer has gone on to great things under the Bush administration. President Bush has appointed Mimi Alemayehou to be the USA’s Director of the African Development Bank. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of International Regulatory Affairs at Worldspace. For other news we’ll have to wait for Noah Samara’s (pictured, left) conference call, and hope that a few New York analysts are still at the desks on Thursday evening and diligently listening in. Our top questions would be: how much cash is left in the company’s coffers?; any sign of fresh inward funding?; and news on the state of its Italian project.
