Top Up TV commences card swap

Top Up TV has begun the process of swapping out smart cards to its subscriber base. The terrestrial broadcaster uses the Nagravision system to encrypt its mix of linear and downloaded channels Cards are being distributed to subscribers during March and April.

After inserting the new card into their DTT receiver, subscribers are advised to tune into Five, the terrestrial broadcaster that shares its multiplex with many of the Top Up TV channels. The card will then be activated by a signal carried within the stream. The process should take less than an hour.
