OTE selects Ericsson for IPTV outroll

The Greek operator OTE has chosen Ericsson as an IPTV systems integrator, service provider and business consultant. The integrated IPTV service for OTE includes headend systems from Tandberg Television, middleware application, content distribution platform and a customised consumer portal.


In addition, the service will include complete implementation and integration of tools for operational management. The initial offer will consist of broadcast channels, VOD, EPG and PVR capabilities. Ericsson’s IPTV service integrates IPTV middleware, VOD, network-based PVR, IPTV headends, content protection, IPTV infrastructure, systems integration and IPTV applications such as games. Ericsson has already signed over 180 IPTV contracts.
