Canal+ and Kewego team up against piracy | | Pay-TV group Canal+ has dropped legal action against internet video platform operator Kewego after the two agreed to better protect Canal+’s content.
The anti-piracy fight will include the integration on Kewego’s network of a system to block refused videos based on finger printing technology. Canal+ will also provide Kewego with a database including the prints of all its shows.
Canal+’s legal action started against Kewego in May 2007.
