Portuguese Parliamentary Issues Augusto Santos Silva has confirmed the public tender for the country’s fifth national free-to-air channel will be called in October. That date is 180 days after the reception of the candidates for Portugal's DTT licenses, set for April 24. Winner of the new tender will be announced in Spring 2009. As for the DTT licenses, these should be allocated before October, according to the Minister. source: Rapid TV News
