UK music channel Rapture has failed in its bid to secure lower charges for its EPG listing. Rapture TV has lost its action against Ofcom and BSkyB. The UK Competition Commission ruled March 31 that the regulator had not acted unfairly in permitting BSkyB to charge £76,800 for Rapture’s EPG listing, even though Rapture had annual revenues of about £150,000. David Henry, CEO at Rapture said following the decision that the channel, which now exists only as a web-based version, might have to close. Marion Simmons QC, for the Competition Commission Tribunal said Rapture had failed to make its case. source: Rapid TV News
