110m viewers for French programs abroad | | According to a joint study from TV France international and CNC, around 110 million foreign viewers watched 162 French programs between September 2006 and June 2007.
Countries concerned were Germany, UK, Spain and Italy as well as Canada’s Quebec.
Animation remains popular in Germany with productions like Little King Macius on KIKA, that reached a 31.2 % audience share.
Among best-rating shows ever are drama Lagardère ( 7.6% audience share in Italy) documentary Signé Channel and animated series Shuriken School broadcast in the UK on ITV 1.
Emblematic shows like Totally Spies, The Emperor’s March and Caméra Café, are still very popular.
