Mexican digital operator Televisa's
Sky Mexico grew by 190,000 new subscribers in the last year, reaching 1.64 million.
The operator now offers 200 channels encoded under the Videoguard conditional access and it uses 12 transponders of Intelsat 9 satellite at 58 degrees W.
Some of the operator's channels are quite well known in Europe such as TeleNovelas, Tele-Hit or Canal de las Estrellas, all three produced by Televisa.
Sky Mexico launched DTH services on December 15, 1996.
