There are rumours out of Milan that James Murdoch is about to take direct control over Sky Italia. Tom Mockridge was promoted a few days ago to take a senior role in News Corp Europe, but it was widely assumed that he would also keep his old job at Sky Italia. Our normally reliable sources in Italy suggest that this might not be a correct interpretation of events, and that James Murdoch will take direct control over Sky Italia. We stress these are rumours, so caution. What is fact is that James Murdoch has lunched in Milan with Mockridge and senior bosses and channel managers at Sky Italia. Source: Rapid TV News
