BBC America HD to Launch This Fall | | BBC America will launch a High-Definition channel this fall, Multichannel News reports.
The news was revealed in a trade publication ad that appeared in Monday's editions. BBC America said last year that it would soon launch a high-def channel in the U.S., but did not offer specific dates.
Multichannel News writes that BBC America did not reveal which TV providers -- if any -- have agreed to carry the new HD channel. An exact launch date was also not provided.
The BBC America HD lineup will include the new series Robin Hood, which has aired in high-def on DIRECTV's channel 101, and the sci-fi series Torchwood, which now airs in HD on HDNet. |
