Orange lays out premium plans

Orange’s first premium TV offer, Orange Foot (Football), will be launched on August 9, available on the company’s TV, PC and mobile phone platforms for €6 each month. August marks the beginning of the new soccer season.

The channel will notably offer a League One Saturday match live, as well as a dedicated magazine and on-demand highlights. To get Orange Foot on TV, via ADSL or DTH, viewers will need to susbcribe to Orange’s triple-play offer.

In early 2008, Orange invested €203M to get one of the premium lots auctioned by French Football League LFP.

“Orange targets to get several hundreds of thousands customers by the end of next year both on television, internet and mobile,” Orange’s head of operations Louis-Pierre Wenes indicated.
