J. Murdoch makes key Euro appointments

News Corp Europe (NCE) has made three key appointments, each reporting to Tom Mockridge, CEO NCE.

Gary Davey and Steve Tomsic become, respectively, COO and CFO of News Corporation Stations Europe, a new creation which includes terrestrial television stations and their associated businesses operating across Europe outside the UK and Ireland, News Corp said in a statement.

Davey rejoins News Corp after serving as chief executive of Star TV, News Corp's giant Pan-Asian business, and prior to that he was deputy MD at BSkyB. Tomsic has been working at Sky Italia for the past two years and prior to that was at Foxtel, the Australian pay-TV platform partially owned by News Corp.

Marc Heller becomes SVP Strategy & Corporate Development for the new business. Heller has been based in Paris working on M & A activity for News Corporation. He previously had a similar role at Vivendi. All three report to Mockridge.
