The idea of large-scale space tourism has moved one small step closer with the unveiling of the UK's largest space rocket. The 58ft Nova 2 has been created to test a number of systems and in September next year will be launched unmanned into mid air. If the test mission is a success the inventor hopes to launch fare-paying tourists into space in an even bigger rocket by 2013. The rocket's inventor, Steve Bennett from Salford University's space technology laboratory said: "Nova 2 qualifies as the biggest rocket ever created and flown from the UK mainland. "Our ultimate aim is to carry people into space and our latest rocket takes us another step closer to that ambition." For 20 minutes in the air, three to four minutes of weightlessness, and speeds of 3,500mph you will have to fork out £98,000. Source:ITN
