Mediaset is continuing to hold out on an agreement with Sky Italia over the satellite carriage of its DTT premium package Mediaset Gallery. It follows several months of talks between the two platforms. Mediaset’s vice chairman Piersilvio Berlusconi has said that the disagreement was over the price, and with the Italian media giant happy with the response so far, Mediaset was not prepared to give the channels away. Berlusconi said that while talks continued on the sharing of football rights the three Mediaset Gallery channels would remain DTT exclusive. The line-up is this month being enhanced by the addition of Disney Channel and a dedicated sports channel. In 2007 2.25 million cards were sold for the Mediaset Premium package. source: BroadbandTVNews
