Music channel Onyx could cease broadcasting

Cologne based music channel Onyx.tv could stop broadcasting as early as September this year. The channel has recently been operating at a financial loss, with stiff competition from rival networks MTV and VIVA.
Onyx is now looking for financial backing to keep the channel afloat. Free-to-air broadcasts of Onyx.tv are available via the Eutelsat Hot Bird satellite at 13 degrees east (11.681 GHz H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4), as well as on German cable networks and the internet.
