Setanta goes free on BT Vision

Setanta Sports 1 is to be made available free of charge in a restructuring of BT Vision’s programming package. The deal mirrors an earlier deal between the sports channel and the Virgin Media cablenet.

BT is launching three new tiers; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each tier includes two or more of the IPTV operator’s four programming packs; Movies, Sports, Kids and Music. Setanta is being included with each of the packs.

The Bronze package includes two packs for £14, Silver, three packs for £18 and Gold, all four packs for £20.

BT Vision has also announced an exclusive deal with the Scottish Premier League to show 28 SPL games on demand in addition to the 60 games already available on Setanta.
