History Channel HD now in Hong Kong | | History Channel HD has launched on Now TV's IPTV platform in Hong Kong, the second Asian-Pacific launch for the service following last month’s start on Singapore’s StarHub Digital Cable.
Scheduled separately from the standard definition History Channel, the service is available for HK$50 a month or HKJ$35 for existing History Channel subscribers.
History HD is a joint venture in the region between A&E TV Networks and Malaysia’s Astro All Asia Networks. AETN All Asia Networks distributes History Channel, History Channel HD, Crime & Investigation and The Biography Channel in south-east Asia.
AETN All Asia Networks General Manager Louis Boswell said: "The reaction and feedback to The History Channel since it launched last year across the region has been amazing, so I am very happy that we are now able to give our viewers the opportunity to watch the channel in its full glory in crystal clear HD. Once again, it underlines our commitment to become the leader in factual entertainment programming. We are thrilled to work with Now TV again, as our platform partner in Hong Kong."
