MGM in Orange supply deal

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Worldwide Television Distribution (MGM) has given details of the content it will be providing to France Telecom’s Orange Cinema Series. The new movie bouquet will launch on DTH and IPTV on November 13.

“France Telecom is a blue chip player on five continents and we are proud to be offering MGM’s entertainment content to the launch of its new Orange pay television,” said Gary Marenzi, Co-President of Worldwide Television, MGM. “We are pleased to partner with Orange in bringing MGM content to its pay television subscribers in France and look forward to collaborating with France Telecom on other innovative, long term business opportunities as they are developed.”

The agreement builds on existing VOD deals between MGM and Orange in the UK, Spain and Poland. Included in the package are the forthcoming James Bond release Quantum of Solace, The Pink Panther starring Steve Martin, Capote, action thriller Into the Blue, and Rocky Balboa, the movie that perhaps completes the Rocky series.
