BBC to sell programmes in French iTunes store

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, has announced the availability of a number of selected programmes to purchase and download on the iTunes Store in France. The offer includes both single episodes or full sets of programmes such as Extras, The Lost World, Torchwood (pictured), Pride and Prejudice and others.

The majority of programmes will be available in both French and English versions. iTunes will also offer a selection of programmes produced by the Natural History department of the BBC, such as Wild Galapagos and South America.

The BBC was the first British broadcaster to offer television programs on iTunes in the UK, and now BBC Worldwide is the first to offer the same service on the iTunes Store in France. Programmes on iTunes will cost from €1.99 per episode.
