Panasonic announces line-up of Viera LCDs and Plasma TVs | | Panasonic's 2009 LCD and Plasma line-up is comprehensive to say the least
At a product launch in Amsterdam, Panasonic announced a ream of new Viera LCD and Plasma TVs, with features including Viera Cast and inbuilt Freesat.
Already available in the US, Viera Cast will allow European users to access online content through their TVs, from supported media partners such as Bloomberg, YouTube, EuroSport and Picasa Web Albums, through a consumer-friendly portal. Content is streamed over a home network via Ethernet, so no boxes are needed.
The new line-up includes the Z1 flagship range, which was announced at CES this year. The super-slim TV measures just an inch thick, and will be available in 46-inch and 54-inch models. It has THC-certification, SLNA connectivity and DivX playback.
The V10 on the other hand, has an amazing contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 for the Plasma panel, and comes ub 42-inch and 50-inch size options. If you prefer LCD, it will be available in just a 37-inch model. 42-inch and 46-inch sizes will be on offer for the G15 Plasma panel, and 37-inches for LCD.
The G10 line sadly won't include Viera Cast, but will come in three Plasma sizes: 42-inch, 46-inch and 50-inch.
No word on pricing or availability, more information - and pictures - when we get them.
