Canal Digitaal launches rental model

The Dutch DTH platform Canal Digitaal has launched a rental model on the market in order to speed up take-up of its HD services. Customers can buy a starter package at €99.00 which includes a smart card and free installation.

After signing up, an installer will put up a dish and install an HD receiver. For people subscribing to the Family Bouquet, a Philips DSR7121 single HD tuner is included with DUO twin LNB for reception of Astra 1 and Astra 3.

For Entertainment Package subscribers, a Philips DSR8121 twin tuner HD with a DUO Quad LNB is included in the subscription fee.

The minimum contract period for both offers is 24 months.

The new service is available from satellite specialists as well as retail chains BCC, ElectroWorld, EP, Expert and MediaMarkt.
