The Dutch DTH platform Canal Digitaal has launched a rental model on the market in order to speed up take-up of its HD services. Customers can buy a starter package at €99.00 which includes a smart card and free installation. After signing up, an installer will put up a dish and install an HD receiver. For people subscribing to the Family Bouquet, a Philips DSR7121 single HD tuner is included with DUO twin LNB for reception of Astra 1 and Astra 3. For Entertainment Package subscribers, a Philips DSR8121 twin tuner HD with a DUO Quad LNB is included in the subscription fee. The minimum contract period for both offers is 24 months.
