More football for Dutch premium channels

The Dutch premium football channel Eredivsie Live has acquired the rights to Real Madrid TV. Chellomedia’s Sport1 has meanwhile said that the UEFA Champions League rights have been renewed for another three-year period.

Eredivsie Live will show a number of weekly programmes from Madrid including the Saturday Preview show and the Monday round-up.

Sport1 acquired the UEFA Cup rights to live TV, internet and mobile phone services.

Additionally, the exclusive rights to the Italian Serie A League have been renewed for the 2009 – 2010 season.

Sport1 also secured the rights to live TV transmission and internet streaming of the Brazilian and Argentinean football league matches as well as the TV rights to the Copa Libertadores.
