The main board of Irish sports broadcaster Setanta met yesterday, according to reports, amid rumours suggesting the company was close to financial collapse. The board was meeting to consider its financial options. The BBC, in a newscast, said that it was likely that administrators would be appointed unless Setanta could find £50m in fresh funding. A further complication is its own subscriber churn, with some commentators suggesting that Setanta’s existing subscribers are now deserting the broadcaster. Source:RapidTVNews | ||
