Monty Python stars in 40th anniversary reunion | | Monty Python stars are staging a major reunion for the first time in more than a decade to mark the show's 40th anniversary.
Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam will star in a musical adaptation of Life Of Brian called Not The Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy).
Advertising posters describe the show as "like Handel only funnier".
Idle, who co-wrote the production with composer John Du Prez, said: "It has the classic finale Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."
John Cleese cannot attend the show's premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in London on October 24. The sixth original Python star Graham Chapman died in 1989.
The last time the group appeared together was in 1998 at an on-stage interview.
A documentary, Monty Python: Almost The Truth (The Lawyer's Cut), has been created for the anniversary.
