€11 million for Spain’s switch-off | | Spain's Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce has allocated €11 million for the country's final analogue switch-off push, set for April 3, 2010.
The money contrasts with the €35 million invested last year and the €75 million of this year. In fact this year has seen the biggest effort, relating to the implementation of Phases I and II of switch-off (June/October for the first and December 31 for the second).
The €11 million to be spent will basically fund information campaigns in those geographical areas affected by the analogue switch-off and also for viewers with a disability to finally secure the digital coverage.
