Ad Channel launched

The Advert Channel, a 24 hours UK channel exclusively dedicated to commercials has launched yesterday (6/9/04). The channel has been set up in recognition of the increasing number of people that said to prefer ads to the actual programmes.

The Channel, launched by UK entrepreneur Vince Stanzione and former actress and lingerie model Chelsey Baker, will feature a combination of classic commercials from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and the best of today's ads - plus live studio discussions and debates on the world of advertising, and behind the scenes documentaries on the filming of top commercials.

Viewers will be able to vote for the best and choose which ads are shown using the sort of juke box technology more often used on music channels. The Advert Channel is a Free Channel on digital satellite platform number 694
