Pace has unveiled Europe's first high-definition personal video recorder at the IBC show in Amsterdam. The device, the TDX840 HD PVR, has been designed for cable and satellite. The box will allow users to record programmes live, pause live TV, and fast forward and rewind if they wish. The product is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2005. The TDX840 will also enable broadcasters to manage bandwidth more effectively, allowing them to download content and services to the box's hard drive at non-peak times. Pace capitalised on its experience in manufacturing set-tops for the more advanced US market in order to develop the product for Europe. | ||
