WWE introduces interactive TV in the US | | US based World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is introducing an interactive service for fans to allow them to help select the athletes for the various bouts.
WWE has chosen an evening of wrestling called Taboo Tuesday to be the guinea pig for its new interactive service. Fans will be allowed to play a significant role in selecting the contestants in seven matches.
"They get to pick who is going to get to wrestle for the world heavyweight championship," said WWE's Kurt Schneider. "So our current champion, Triple-H, will be in the ring, and they can choose among three different people who he's going to wrestle. Another one is what weapon of choice should these two guys use in a match. Is it a lead pipe? A steel chair? What should we use? And the last one people will choose is the battle royal, which is all of our divas and the fans get to pick what they'll wear." |
