News Corporation have announced they will buy back the remaining 18% of traded stock in FOX Entertainment Group they don't already own. The company will offer 1.9 of its Class A shares for every share in FOX. The Murdoch family has outlined their desire to streamline trading operations now that News has moved its domicile from Australia to the United States. NWS shares fell 2% on the New York Stock Exchange on word of the announcement, however FOX shares jumped 10% on the US bourse. News owns 25% of Foxtel in Australia, and has BSkyB UK, FOX Network USA, DIRECTV, Sky Italia and Star TV Asia in its global portfolio of television assets.
