Sky interactive ADs go Dutch...

Dutch digital media content and solutions provider Chellomedia announced today that UK digital TV firm BSkyB has accredited the Chello Mistral eTV solution for the production and delivery of Mini-DAL interactive ads.

With this accreditation, Mistral will become a one-stop shop for the creation of the three types of interactive ads that can be produced and broadcast across BSkyB’s digital satellite platform.

Mini-DALs are the latest WML-based interactive TV ads. While a regular TV commercial is running, a viewer can press the red button to launch a Mini-DAL, which can feature customised audio and video on a quarter screen.

Mini-DALs enable advertisers to collect viewer responses, promote their brand and handle financial transactions from within the ad.

Chello Mistral includes a series of templates with integrated preview mode and an automated compilation system that enables content producers to produce the ads that are ready for broadcast on the Sky platform.
