My System: 2xPace 430N, 1xNokia MM9800, 1xNokia 80cm Sat Dish, 1xGibertini 120cm, Big Fat Furry Puss

That poll is like wrap sheet for Michael Jackson.

Its subscription orientated and has no relevance to the thread.

Results for option 4 are typical of most users: those that answer yes to this question clearly do not get it. Give any user not more than one minute to see the quality up-change from SD to HD and the next thing you know - they'll be begging for HD. Fact.

Meanwhile, most still think that by merely having a w/s set they are 'ready' - this too is BS. Dont believe for one second that that Sony widescreen LCD you spent a fortune on last year is HD ready.

This question should be included in the poll - like, do you think that by merely having a widescreen TV you are HD ready.

Crikes. The UK hasn't even gone SD DTV yet.

Mark.

Have Fun, Moo.

Mark.
Any user???. I dont even use scart connections, all my kit is cross connected by rf cables and passive splitters, and Im quite happy with the picture quality. Im dont care if Im watching over copmpressed Italian shopping channel full of digital artifacts on my 28" widescreen telly.

There must be hundreds of thousands of folks like me. Im a hopeless case as far as the HDTV marketing guys are concerned.

Give me some better options and I'll tag them on the poll.

Hi Analoguesat,

Sometime later, maybe an equipment compatibility poll would be nice: the question I was going to offer you is probably outside the scope of the current poll.

It will be interesting to see the swing from 'happy now' to 'yes please' as HD promotions are stepped-up.

As for the last question - why (given the topic of the thread) do we still hate giving dosh to SKY? This story is about the BBC who may sneek a free ticket on SKY's platform; but that doesn't necessarily mean us giving Rupey any money.

Friday's throw-it-in-the-air thing: Given the infancy of HD and the success the BBC have had with Freeview - maybe this is the moment to launch, run and control 'FreeSat-HD'.

Have Fun, Moo.
