Several major news channels are being made available as part of both pay and free-to-air cable TV packages in India, which could have ramifications for a sector that currently supports 15 channels. Star News and NDTV have both denied they will eventually make the switch to free-to-air only, but analysts believe such a move seems logical in the CAS environment as most viewers would not be willing to pay out a separate subscription for a news channel that is not bundled as part of a pay TV package. | ||
