Pace promotes DTT in Spain

Pace Micro Technology is working with Madrid's digital terrestrial (DTT) broadcaster, Telemadrid and other digital TV players to demonstrate DTT services to Spanish viewers, retailers and Government.

The group, which consists of digital set-top box developers, DTT network integrators and content providers announced the launch of its 'ActuaTV Project' which aims to break-down the barriers that are currently stalling DTT developments in Spain.

Take-up of Spain's DTT service has been low since its June 2002 launch. A lack of compelling free-to-air DTT content, the need for greater Government support with infrastructure and poor consumer DTT education have all contributed.
